The Wildcats opened their season in style, dismantling Iowa State 47-28 in the Dublin Ireland Series. Chris Klieman's squad looked sharp from the opening whistle, putting up 47 points against a Cyclone defense that had no answers.

Kansas State's offense was firing on all cylinders, spreading the ball around and keeping Iowa State's defense on their heels all game long. The Wildcats established the run early and opened up the play-action game, leading to several big plays downfield.

For Matt Campbell and Iowa State, it's back to the drawing board. The Cyclones showed some life on offense but couldn't stop Kansas State when it mattered most. The 19-point loss is a tough pill to swallow in what was supposed to be a showcase game overseas.

Kansas State looks like a legitimate Big 12 contender after this performance. If they can maintain this level of play, they'll be a problem for everyone on their schedule.
